Beyond’s Co-founder and CTO David Kelso was renting out a spare bedroom in his San Francisco apartment to help pay the rent. There was no pricing tool for short-term rentals back then, so he'd just look at how other similar rentals were being priced, set a price, and crossed his fingers.

That’s when he decided to build a tool to dynamically price his listing. He rapidly cultivated a customer base of 25 listings, and within 18 months, he was providing dynamic pricing for 600 of the 3,000 short-term rental listings in his area.

Beyond Pricing was born.

Beyond Pricing is now simply known as Beyond, and has moved from a single product to a multi-product company. We've also grown in size and scope.
