Going Beyond with George Jevric & Roman Solyanyk

In our latest Going Beyond blog post, our series that aims to show what it’s really like to work at Beyond, we spoke to George Jevric & Roman Solyanyk to learn more about their experience on the Beyond team and how they have played an integral role in growing the Australia market.  

Roman is an Account Executive III and George is a Senior Customer Success Manager - they discuss their journey to Beyond, their experience, and what they love most about being part of our dynamic company.

How long have you been at Beyond and what is your role?

George: I joined in early July as a Senior Customer Success Manager.

Roman: I joined in June 2022 and am a Senior/Enterprise Account Executive

What has been your role with respect to the Australian market?

George: My role will be to establish strong client relationships, grow our Australian clients, and help out with new sales. I come from a strong SaaS background and mostly in digital marketing, including a brief stint in Travel Insurance with Allianz Partners. In the past, I have worked with various hotels, airlines, and OTAs such as Expedia, Qantas Hotels, Accor, Singapore Airlines, British Airways, Skyscanner, and Traveloka. I adore the travel industry and have a huge passion for it.

Roman: I am responsible for establishing and nurturing partnerships with professional property management companies and short-term rental (STR) associations/events organisers across Australia. My day-to-day role is engaging partners and exploring opportunities for us to work together to drive maximum revenue from their portfolios. The Australian STR market is incredible, with such a huge variety of companies in some of the most beautiful locations in the world. It’s really a pleasure to be doing my role day to day.

How have you been able to grow in your role by opening up this new market?

Roman: Every new market has its own challenges and its own unique opportunities. There are cultural differences, process differences, regulatory differences, and so on. Working on the Australian market has helped me further develop my understanding of how different markets operate and to be able to adapt to the specific way things are done. It’s also helped me improve my data analysis skills as every city and region in Australia has extremely unique booking trends, it’s really a market like no other. These skills will undoubtedly help me to grow in my role and continue making an impact on Beyond’s success in the market. 
Where do you see the Beyond Australian market in 6 months-1 year?

George: I see us growing our existing client base, acquiring brand new clients, and establishing a proper foothold in the local market.

Roman: I see Beyond becoming a key player and the leading dynamic pricing and revenue management system in the Australian market. We’re on a really strong growth trajectory and are establishing new partnerships on a weekly basis with exciting businesses all over the country. There are also lots of great events like the Here To Stay Conference and the Strive Conference coming up in the next few months where we will be able to solidify our brand presence and meet existing and new partners alike to further develop partnerships. We also have lots of unique products and exciting new improvements to the Beyond dashboard in the pipeline that will undoubtedly delight our clients in the market. 

What are you most excited for about Beyond’s future? 

George: The APAC region is enormous with so many business opportunities out here. I am excited to see what new product features will be delivered, especially around AI.

Roman: In Australia, I believe there is a particularly massive opportunity for us to bring immense value to short-term rental property managers across the country. I’m excited to see our partnerships develop in the market and how we can help our partners get the most out of their property portfolios. With Beyond as a whole, I am extremely excited to see the development of the company moving forward as we are continuously innovating and pioneering new approaches to revenue management that help us and our clients stay ahead of the game. 

What is your favorite part about working at Beyond?

George: Despite being the first employee in the region, the onboarding process has been stellar with every single person being extremely supportive. The Beyond product is built with a simple, well thought out UI and features – yet extremely powerful that delivers for our clients. Our support processes are second to none.

Roman: The people - we have an extremely talented team here at Beyond. I love the fact that I am surrounded by people I can learn from, people that motivate each other to do better and a team that’s continuously striving to bring the best product and service possible for our customers. I find that it’s rare to work for a business where absolutely everyone is on the same page and on the same mission, and that’s exactly what we have here at Beyond.
