In our latest Going Beyond blog post, our series that aims to show what it’s really like to work at Beyond, we spoke to Maeva Senillou to learn more about her experience on the Beyond team, working partially remotely, and her onboarding experience.
Maeva is an Implementation Manager and discusses her journey to Beyond, her experience, and what she loves most about being part of our dynamic company.
How long have you been at Beyond and what is your role?
It will soon be 6 months since I joined Beyond already! I’m an Implementation Manager for the EMEA region.
How was your onboarding experience?
It was great! Most of my team members took the time to introduce themselves and to get to know me and I had an onboarding plan when I joined. I had time to discover the company, the processes, and the tools (and there is a lot!), and my managers and team members were really present to clear doubts as well as to gather feedback on how I felt. The onboarding plan was quite flexible, I ended up having my first accounts quite fast after I started, which I appreciated a lot because there’s no best way to learn than to practice in my opinion.
You work remotely from Madrid, how has that experience been? How often do you travel to the Barcelona office?
I’m indeed based in Madrid and I travel to Barcelona every two weeks more or less (once again, that’s flexible). I received everything that I needed to have my equipment at home which made the remote working easier. I really love this hybrid rhythm. I can be really focused and productive at home but I get the chance to share moments with my colleagues and to live the office life as well.
How have you felt supported by Beyond and your team?
There’s no stupid question, there’ll always be someone to help you in the team. Anything that you notice, there’s a way to report it or to ask about it. Managers are asking a lot about how we feel, the help we may need, or the room for improvement we would like to suggest.
What are you most excited for about Beyond’s future?
Beyond is growing a lot! We open and focus on new markets, processes are improving, new features are coming… It’s a company in which you feel improvement is constant and feedback is listened to. I’m super excited to see new kinds of clients starting with Beyond and about the new features to be released soon.
What is your favorite part about working at Beyond?
A lot is happening, it might require some effort to keep pace, but you never get bored. Also, even though the company is growing, the team members always feel close even if some of them work remotely, live everywhere in the world, and have different cultures. I love the way I can know more and share with people (colleagues as well as clients) I probably have nothing in common with, that’s super fulfilling. Regarding my position as Implementation Manager, I really like to accompany our clients in their first steps with Beyond to make sure they fully take advantage of the tool. Even here, you never get bored, each client is so different!
