In our latest Going Beyond blog post, our series that aims to show what it’s really like to work at Beyond, we spoke to Keysha Hribar to learn more about her experience on the Beyond team and growing her career.
Keysha is a Data Scientist and discusses her journey to Beyond, experience, and what she loves most about being part of our dynamic company.
What is your role at Beyond?
I am a Senior Product Manager at Beyond and manage our Performance and Market Analytics product, Insights. As a Product Manager (PM), we ensure that we are building the right things to solve customer/user pain points while adding long-term value to the company.
Imagine a PM as a conductor where each musician (team member) plays a different instrument (skillset). The PM ensures all the instruments (data, development, user experience) come together to produce a symphony (product) that resonates with the audience (our users). We do this by listening & advocating for our clients' needs by meeting them where they are at – be it starting, managing, or scaling their revenue management strategy.
How is working at Beyond different from previous companies?
Beyond is a scaling startup that casts a big shadow when it comes to growth & support. There’s the perfect blend of processes when needed without creating too many restrictions or red tape. At Beyond everyone from Product to Design to Customer Success is encouraged to experiment, ship, iterate, and improve – which has led to some incredible tech innovations & solidified us as leaders in the vacation rental industry year after year.
How have you grown your career at Beyond?
I joined Beyond when I was ready to grow into a more senior role. After having worked at a bootstrapped startup for years, I was ready to take on more of a product strategy vs. product operations role. Beyond allowed me to do just that by giving me the opportunity to dive right into strategic product decisions. From launching our first premium offering, Insights Pro, to expanding our data footprint, these product innovations allowed us to claim our stake as one of the leading data analytics products in not just the revenue, and short-term rental space but the entire travel industry.
What are you most excited for about Beyond’s future?
Seeing where our data takes us in the 2024 and beyond (no pun intended). With AI, data predictions, and automation being at the forefront of every user’s mind, we are eager to explore how we can keep leveraging the latest and greatest without sacrificing quality or value.
What is your favorite part about working at Beyond?
The people for sure. That includes the users, the team members, and potential customers. This industry is unique in the sense that it’s an industry built around catering & serving others so it’s great to be able to provide some solace to those on the front lines by building tools that’ll make their lives easier.
