Looking ahead to the Papal conclave on May 7, 2025, booking activity is also showing early momentum. Searches for short-term rentals around the expected conclave dates jumped by a similar 40%, as travelers, clergy, and media prepare for another historic event. Early pacing data shows occupancy rates currently between 52% and 64% for dates around the conclave (May 6–11), with final rates likely reaching between 71% and 85% as bookings continue to build in Rome.
