In our latest Going Beyond blog post, our series that aims to show what it’s really like to work at Beyond, we spoke to Punith Kotian to learn more about his experience on the Beyond team and how our India team has grown over the past year.
Punith is a Customer Success Manager and discusses his journey to Beyond, his experience, and what he loves most about being part of our dynamic company.
How long have you been at Beyond and what is your role?
It's been a year since I joined Beyond! I'm one of the Customer Success Managers for our small and midsize customers in the North America region.
You joined Beyond one year ago as one of our first Beyond India employees, how has the India team grown and changed since then?
We've seen some great growth in our India team over the year. It's been exciting to be one of the first team members. Being part of a new team has great potential to impact the company’s growth directly, and the opportunities and responsibilities have been rewarding. We've nearly doubled our workforce over the year across different departments. I'm excited to see what the future has in store for the team!
Beyond India recently held an in-person collaboration in Bangalore, tell us about your experience meeting Beyonders in person.
The recent in-person collaboration was amazing - from team bonding activities to getting to know new team members to having a fun chat over dinner. It's been a fantastic experience, and I can't wait for more in-person collaborations.
Since the India team is currently working remotely, these in-person visits are super important for bringing the team together. It gives us a chance to bond with our team members on a deeper level. This really helps us to feel more comfortable and collaborate better in a cross-functional environment.
What are you most excited for about Beyond’s future?
I'm really excited about Beyond's expansion! From a work perspective, Beyond expanded the team globally two years ago and has already grown our team to work in Europe and Asia. Our product line keeps getting better, making us the best in the business.
What is your favorite part about working at Beyond?
My favorite part would be our work environment. My team has always had my back with my decisions and opinions, and I'm thankful for their support throughout this journey. Everyone has their own ways or strategies of working, and I've been given the freedom to do things my way, which helps me be a bit more comfortable and come up with innovative ideas to streamline things.
