Going Beyond with Jordan Regina

Jordan discusses her journey to Beyond, her experience, and what she loves most about being part of our dynamic team.

In our latest Going Beyond blog post, our series that aims to show what it’s really like to work at Beyond, we sat down with Jordan Regina to hear about her journey at Beyond and her experience on the people team.

Jordan is one of our People Operations Managers, and below she discusses her journey to Beyond, her experience, and what she loves most about being part of our dynamic company.

What brought you to Beyond?

I spent five years working in the sports industry and eventually reached a point where I was ready for a new challenge in a different field. Being in the Bay Area, transitioning into tech felt like a natural next step. I came across the People & Facilities Specialist role at Beyond, which felt like a great fit because I was already managing facilities, and I’ve always been interested in HR. Once I learned more about Beyond and the impact of its product, I was really drawn in. It felt like the perfect entry point into a great company.

How long have you been at Beyond and what is your role?

I've been with Beyond for almost four years—I'll hit the four-year mark this August. I started as a People & Facilities Specialist, then moved into a People Operations Generalist role, and now I’m a People Operations Manager. In my current role, I oversee day-to-day People Operations for the NASA region, which includes managing the full employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with employment laws, handling payroll and benefits administration, and providing overall support to employees and managers across the region.

What’s been one of the most meaningful or impactful projects you’ve been part of at Beyond?

One of my favorite projects, especially because we’re in the middle of it now, is our annual engagement survey! It’s a powerful tool that gives employees a chance to share honest, anonymous feedback about how we’re doing as a company. We use the results to identify what’s working well and where we have opportunities to improve. Once the survey closes, the People Operations team analyzes company-wide results and shares departmental insights with managers. From there, we build a company-wide roadmap with clear focus areas for the year ahead, and we support managers in developing action plans to strengthen engagement within their teams. We take this process seriously and consistently see high participation - 92% of employees completed the survey this year which is above average for companies of our size. This is my third year running the engagement survey and it’s always rewarding to see how the feedback turns into meaningful change.

Can you give an example of a meaningful change you’ve seen from the engagement survey in years past?

In 2024, one area that stood out was our lower score in social connection. In response, we launched a program to ensure every Beyonder had the opportunity to meet at least one other team member in person. By the end of the year, 94% of employees had connected face-to-face with at least one colleague, many with more than one! As a result, we saw a 3% increase in our social connection score in the latest survey. It’s a great example of how employee feedback directly shapes the initiatives we prioritize.

Who do you collaborate with for the engagement survey?

The engagement survey is a highly collaborative effort. Within People Ops, we work closely as a team to manage the survey process from start to finish. Once results are in, we partner with every manager across the company to help them interpret their team’s feedback and build targeted action plans. We also work directly with the executive team, who reviews the company-wide results and collaborates with us on shaping the broader roadmap, given how critical this feedback is to our overall strategy

What are you most excited about for the future?

I’m excited to continue growing as an HR business partner and to take on a more strategic role. I’m looking forward to partnering more closely with managers on long-term people planning initiatives with things like team development, org design, and aligning people strategies with business goals.

What is your favorite part about working at Beyond?

One of my favorite parts about working at Beyond is being part of a truly global team. This is my first role where I’ve worked so closely with colleagues across different countries and time zones, and it’s been such a rewarding experience. I’ve learned so much about different cultures, communication styles, and ways of working. It’s also given me exposure to international employment laws and compliance, which has really expanded my skill set. The global nature of Beyond is a huge perk and something I genuinely value.
